BOINGO NAMES LUIS-ALFONSO SERRANO EMEA NETWORK STRATEGY DIRECTOR

Experienced International Telecom Expert to Spearhead Expansion of Boingo Roaming System

SANTA MONICA, Calif. - - June 1, 2005 - Boingo Wireless today announced that Luis-Alfonso Serrano has joined the company as director of network strategy for Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA). Serrano will lead efforts to expand Boingo’s relationships with Wi-Fi hotspot operators throughout EMEA to build the Boingo® Roaming System throughout the region. Serrano reports to Colby Goff, vice president of network strategy, and will be based in his native Spain.

“We’ve set new standards in roaming throughout EMEA with a network of more than 7,400 hotspots, and our challenge now is to take that network to the next level to serve the needs of savvy business travelers,” Goff said. “Luis’ telecom industry and technology experience, combined with his international business acumen and management expertise, uniquely qualifies him to take on this critical role for Boingo.”

Serrano began his career as an analyst for the Spanish Telecom Regulatory Commission. Serrano has held a range of management positions specializing in the telecommunications industry with international firms including McKinsey & Company, J.P. Morgan Chase & Company and Westbrook Management. In addition, he was the founder and president of Los Angeles-based business consultants Ortronic Energy U.S. Holdings. Serrano holds an M.S. in telecommunications engineering from Universidad Politecnica de Madrid, Spain, and an M.B.A. from The Anderson School at UCLA.

Boingo's growing European network now includes 21 European countries totaling nearly 7,400 hotspots under contract. Boingo gives business travelers the best choice of Wi-Fi hotspots by combining the locations of 94 leading Wi-Fi operators into one worldwide network, and allowing users to securely roam onto any of these locations with a single subscription using Boingo's free Wi-Fi client software. The company is the leading Wi-Fi integrator with a network of more than 17,400 Wi-Fi hotspots worldwide.

Boingo also partners with service providers to allow their users to access these hotspots through its Boingo Platform Services program. The program provides partners with access to this network, customized client software, and a full suite of back-office billing, roaming, mediation and clearinghouse services to allow them to offer their own Wi-Fi service quickly and cost effectively. To date, the company has announced Platform Services partnerships with BT Infonet Services Corp., Earthlink, Fiberlink, MCI, Nextel Communications and Telecom Italia.
