“Japan is a key gateway to Asian business, and expanding the Boingo network there provides convenient corporate network access for the tens of thousands of business travelers and VoIP users that we serve via our Platform Services partners,” said Colby Goff, senior vice president of network strategy for Boingo.  “Working with an aggressive market leader like JAPAN TELECOM, which belongs to the Softbank group, ensures we will provide a comprehensive network for these users.”

”We have been very successful with our Wi-Fi strategy, which is focused on adding value to our DSL-based broadband services customers through the mobility of a wireless network,” said Junichi Miyakawa, Executive Vice President, JAPAN TELECOM CO., LTD. “The agreement with Boingo is very synergistic because they will bring a significant number of international users to our network, anddirect these customers to our retail partners, which benefits their businesses as well.”
